So does this background remind anyone else of that cool 80s sitcom Max Headroom? No? Well, just thought I'd ask.
Welcome, as the sign says, to Speckworld. In this place, anything and everything can and probably will happen. More than likely it will happen all over your brand-new sparkly-white Reeboks, too. Terribly sorry, can't be helped.
So, what's up with the Specking and why the heck do you have a website called Speckworld when all of us know perfectly well that your name is Jill? I know that's exactly what's running through your minds, and I'll just alleviate your worry right now by assuring you that I haven't gone stark raving mad and begun thinking that I'm Speck. No, no, no. Furthest thing from my mind. No, what really happened was that I realized that while I have a whopping big site devoted to my fantasy stories, and another almost-as-huge Bakery for all of the stuff that happens when you get Celeste Goodchild, me, and the anime Bishojo Senshi Sailormoon in one place, I didn't have a place where I could just kick back and be Jillian, just chill with all my alter-egoes and have fun. It's not that BSSM and fantasy aren't fun, it's just that every now and then, I like to be able to wonder what would happen if perhaps I had a world where anything could and regularly did happen. As I've mentioned, it will probably happen all over someone's nice new shoes, and when that happens, I want a world where I can feel free to laugh like a loon at the poor sap wearing the now-everything-spackled shoes.
It seemed to me that Speckworld was clearly called for, and so on the momentous day of March 6, 1999, I decided to honor FortuneCity with Speck's presence, and here I am, happy as ever to see you, and has anyone ever told you how lovely you are when you're disgusted?
Hey, and did you know that FortuneCity gives you 20 MB to play around with, almost twice as much as Geocities will give you? No joke. This place is pretty cool.
So give me a coupla weeks, and I'll give you a pretty sharp definition of what it's like to be me, or actually what it's like to watch me and a few friends take over reality, and we'll just have a blast, now won't we.
If you would care to see exactly what I propose to do with this page, take a look at some of my other sites and begin to get a gestalt:
Or you could always just sit here like a bump on a log. If that's the case, I'll let you stare at one of my favorite pictures of all time, a pic of Haruka from BSSM, drawn by Takeuchi Naoko-sensei. Don't rip this off, I beg you, but do please come back often and look at it:
